Advanced training for Across users

This training session is intended for users who have already worked with Across and want to enhance their knowledge in order to translate texts in formats other than Microsoft Office's. It is also designed for users who wish to manage and maintain their own crossTerm and crossTank databases. Topics such as settings and quality assurance will also be covered. The training can focus on the use of the Across Personal Edition (PE) or the Across Language Server (LS).

Content

The following overview outlines the content covered in the training session; the choice of topics and their depth will depend strongly on the participants’ previous knowledge, however. Further topics reflecting participants’ grasp of Across can be included upon request.

Specific topics that only relate to the use of the Across Language Server (LS) will also be part of the session.

• Alignment with Across
• Special formats (with the exception of DTP) and adjustment of templates
• Context Match and use of TTX files
• Special settings and quality assurance
• Data maintenance and import/export in crossTank and crossTerm
• Administration: users, licences, workflows (only LS)
• Templates for creating translation packages for crossWAN and crossGrid (only LS)
• Working with offline translators and crossGrid (only LS)
